Critics Wanted

Critics who publish in the national media are invited to contact Naa and forward a request from their Editor (see online application form below) up to two months before coming to Nashville. We welcome your visit and are prepared to assist you by providing some travel reimbursement (see below). Naa encourages you to write on any aspect of the visual arts in Middle Tennessee and in no way favors any particular art exhibition, institution or artist. We are seeking critical coverage, not PR.  Once you contact Naa via the form provided, you should receive a letter acknowledging your application. Once Naa approves your request, via an e-mail to you, and you complete your trip, send Naa your receipts, via snail mail, to: Naa c/o Nashville Cultural Arts Project (NCAP), 1315 Adams St., Nashville, TN 37208. Please note: if money is an issue, we suggest you consider waiting to make the trip until you receive approval for reimbursement. Naa will reimburse your travel expenses up to $250 (for an out-of-state writer) or $100 (for a writer in-state) for a visit to Nashville that results in an article or review of an artist or visual art exhibition in the Middle Tennessee area.

We would like to increase coverage of Nashville and Middle Tennessee area museum and gallery exhibitions. There is a lot happening here but few outlets for critical reviews.
